Development is a community of Air Force recruits working towards the opportunity of getting accepted into Special Warfare by preparing for the Initial Fitness Test (IFT). It includes programs designed to evaluate your readiness for the Special Warfare training pipeline .
The prerequisite to entering Development and taking the IFT is to start the enlistment process and take the Diagnostic Fitness Test (DFT). The goal is to ensure you have the physical capability and mindset to handle the demands of Special Warfare Development.
You are here to see if you have what it takes, and we are here to evaluate your baseline performance, attitude, consistency, and trainability. You are not locked into the program yet; you are earning your spot.
REQUIREMENTS
Complete 1 DFT (Pass or Fail)
Complete a DFT every 30 days
Actively work with a Recruiter to join
Signed Liability Form & Completed Sports or MEPS Physical

You have demonstrated the baseline physical capability and accountability required to be here. Now, the real training begins to prepare you for passing the IFT and shipping out. Must process MEPS and pass the DFT.
