Apply: You'll meet with your Recruiter to create your application. Once you are confirmed to meet all entry level requirements you'll move on to testing. Ensure you let your recruiter know you're interested in Special Warfare.
ASVAB: Your Recruiter will schedule you to take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test. This helps determine your ability to withstand the demands of the Air Force.

EOD: N/A
MEPS: After you take the ASVAB, your recruiter will make an appointment for you at a nearby Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS). There, you’ll be assessed based on physical and moral standards as set by the Air Force, the Department of Defense and federal law.
Diagnostic Fitness Test (DFT): This is the first fitness test you will take to gain a baseline of your physical abilities for entry into Special Warfare. When you pass you will be officially accepted into development and you will be ready to progress onto taking the Initial Fitness Test (IFT). You can take this test and start development at any point in your enlistment process even if you fail.

Apply: You'll meet with your SW Recruiter to create your application, determine your Prior Service Category, and give you guidance on the Prior Service Checklist. Once you are confirmed to meet all entry level requirements you'll move on to testing. You will need your DD214.
Diagnostic Fitness Test (DFT): This is the first fitness test you will take to gain a baseline of your physical abilities for entry into Special Warfare. Must pass to take the IFT. You are authorized to join development to improve your fitness while working the process.
Initial Fitness Test (IFT): You must pass the IFT to qualify for a Special Warfare or Combat Support career. Your process cannot move forward until you have a passing score.
ASVAB: If you do not have a passing ASVAB or it's expired, you'll be scheduled to take a new ASVAB.

MEPS: After you take the ASVAB, your SW Recruiter will make an appointment for you at a nearby Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) if applicable. There, you’ll be assessed based on physical and moral standards as set by the Air Force, the Department of Defense and federal law. Direct Duty will not need to go to MEPS.
Prior Service Package: You will work with your SW Recruiter to complete the PS Package.
Career Field Manager (CFM) Submission: Your package will be submitted to the CFM (of the AFSC you're applying for) for approval.
Commander Submission: The same package submitted to the CFM will be submitted to the Special Warfare Recruiting Commander for approval.
Air Force Recruiting Services (AFRS) Submission: Once approval is received - the package will be sent to AFRS HQ for review and approval.
Extended Active Duty and Shipping Instructions: After final approval you will receive a ship date and additional instructions pertaining to taking the Oath of Enlistment and entering Air Force Active Duty.
Final Departure: All shipping instructions, oath of enlistment, and orders will be completed on this date. You will officially enlist into the Air Force and begin departure.
